SA Pharmacy - Various Sites Indicative Total Remuneration $,975 - $97,090 pa – F/T multiple vacancies – AHP2 You will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive and complex range of professional, dispensing, clinical and counselling services for inpatients and outpatients attending South Australian Public Hospitals. This will include providing drug and therapeutic advice to medical, nursing and other professionals involved in patient care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, DHS guidelines, and State and Federal legislation. You will participate as a member of a team of professional and non-professional staff to deliver optimal pharmaceutical care services to clients of the service. A key part of this will be assisting medical and nursing staff in the achievement of rational and health economic decisions relating to drug prescribing and administration. This is a great opportunity to apply your professional training and provide direct clinical care to patients, whilst working within a large professional workgroup. Contributing to enhancing the quality use of medicines in patients and promoting patient safety by improving medication safety throughout the hospital. You will be registered as a Pharmacist by the Pharmacy Board of Australia, and have previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting. You will demonstrate professional competence in hospital pharmacy practice, all aspects of drug dispensing, distribution, clinical pharmacy and patient counselling. With high level written and verbal communication skills, you will be able to interact effectively with a broad range of people, both staff and members of the public. Working well within a multidisciplinary team, you will have the ability to use initiative, work independently and use professional judgement.
