An interesting and diverse position in a stunning regional area where you will gain a variety of experience, you will provide direct person centred nursing or midwifery services to patients in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time. Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess individual patient needs, plan and implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options, as well as plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs. Contributing to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours, you will participate in evaluative research activities within the practice setting. Registered as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. It is essential that you have proven competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. You will be a strong relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to interact with people from all walks of life. Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting, you will possess good problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Ideally you will have the ability to provide holistic midwifery care to clients across the spectrum of pregnancy and birth including antenatal, intra partum and postnatal care.
